On this the last week of February 2010 the long wait came to a end.
The Modena Fire Company is proudly placing into service a 2010 Ford F-450 crew cab with a reading classic II panel service body. Over the past six weeks the unit received it lettering and stripping from Dantz Lettering and all it emergency lighting and arrow board from J-Tech.
The unit is equipped with the following
• 1 4 ft Arrow Board with multiple position availability • 10 Fire Police vest • 5 Fire Police Helmets • 4 Rain Coats • 8 Flags • 5 Flash light w/ cones • 8 hand lights • 50 cones • 4 cases of flares • 5 rolls of scene tape and 1 red scene tape • 6 barricades • 2 Emergency Scene signs • 1 Landing Zone kit • 100 Lbs of oil dry • 1 Shovel • 12 Brooms • 5 Water rescue vest PFD's • 4 Water rescue throw bags • 1 Medical bag w/ oxygen • 1 AED • 1 Triage kit • 1 Reeves Stretcher • 2 Cases of Drinking Water
As you may notice from the equipment the unit will be used for multiple purposes but it primary purpose is traffic control.
The Modena Fire Police are extremely proud of this unit and fell it will help them tremendously with their job both in district and out.
